Vibecam turns one selfie into personalized AI results — a haircut suggestion, a styled “glow up,” a celebrity or spirit-animal comparison, an aged “time machine” portrait, an anime version of you, or a cosmic/zodiac-styled portrait. An account is optional — you can use the app tied to an anonymous device id. To generate a result, your photo is sent to one or more named third-party AI providers — see How your photo is usedbelow for exactly what is sent, who it's sent to, and how we ask your permission first.

Two things to be clear about before you start: Vibecam is for ages 13 and up, and your results are private by default. Read Where your photos are stored and Age requirement below.

How your photo is used — AI processing & your permission

The first time you ask Vibecam to generate a result, the app shows you a permission screen before your photo ever leaves your device. That screen names the specific third-party AI provider your photo will be sent to for that result, states plainly that your photo (including your face) will be transmitted to them for processing, and asks you to affirmatively agree before the photo is uploaded. If you don't agree, the photo is not sent and no result is generated.

What is sent:the single photo you capture or choose for that result (a JPEG image, typically including your face). For the “Be Creative” custom-prompt feature, the text you type is also sent alongside your photo. Nothing else on your device is sent.

Who it's sent to:your photo is uploaded to our backend, which forwards it to one of our AI providers to produce the result — OpenRouter (which in turn routes the request to an underlying model, currently Google Gemini) for styling/aging/anime/cosmic-style results and for the celebrity/spirit-animal comparison text, or Ideogramfor certain result types. Which provider is used depends on which result you asked for; we don't send your photo to any provider you haven't asked us to generate a result from.

What it's used for:only to produce the specific result you requested (e.g. suggesting a hairstyle, elevating your styling, comparing your look to public figures or animal “spirit animals,” aging your appearance, redrawing you in an art style, or adding cosmic/zodiac styling). Your photo is not used by us or by these providers to train any model, and is not used for facial recognition or identity matching (see Photos & face data below).

Photos & face data

Most Vibecam photos are selfies, so here is exactly what happens to a face in one:

• What we collect:the photo you capture with the in-app camera or choose from your gallery. We don't separately extract or store a faceprint, face template, or any other biometric identifier from it.
• How we collect it: directly from you, at the moment you take or pick the photo inside the app, immediately before you generate a result.
• How it's used:uploaded to our backend, prepared (resized/re-encoded), and sent to the named third-party AI provider (see above) to produce the result you asked for. Vibecam does not do facial recognition, does not try to identify who you are, does not detect age, gender, or emotion from your face, and does not match faces between photos or against any database. The model treats the photo as an image to transform or describe — it does not identify the person in it.
• Is it shared with third parties:yes — with the specific AI provider named above for the result you requested, and nowhere else. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to train any model.
• Where it's stored:the resulting image, and the selfie itself (cached briefly so re-trying a different style doesn't require re-uploading your photo), are stored on our servers on Amazon S3, associated with your device id or your account if you signed in.
• How long it's retained:until you delete it. Each result appears in your in-app history, where you can delete it individually at any time — this removes the image from Amazon S3 and its record from our database immediately. Deleting your account removes everything tied to it (see Deleting your account & data).

Where your photos are stored

Results are private to you — there is no public link, leaderboard, or feed that shows your photos or results to other people. Generated results are stored on our servers (Amazon S3) so your history syncs across your devices when you're signed in, and so a result remains available to you after you close the app. Stored results are tied to your device id, or to your account if you choose to sign in. Photos are not sold and not used to train any model.

Age requirement

Vibecam is not intended for and not available to anyone under 13. Certain results that compare your photo to other people or public figures (for example, celebrity match or spirit-animal match) are withheld from anyone the platform's age signal reports as under 13, as an extra safety measure around those comparison-style results.

We do this using the age signals your app store already provides: Apple's Declared Age Range API on iOS and Google Play's Age SignalsAPI on Android. These return a coarse verdict (for example, whether the reported age range falls below 13) — not a date of birth. Because these APIs are new and not yet available on every device, we cannot always get a verdict; in that case the comparison-style results are allowed, consistent with how the app behaves for everyone else.

We use this age signal for one purpose only: deciding whether comparison-style results are available to you. It is not used for advertising, ad targeting, profiling, personalisation, or analytics. It is not sold, not shared with any third party, and not combined with anything else we hold about you.

We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Vibecam or provided data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Accounts & sign-in

Signing in is optional — the app works fully without it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (where available) profile photo from that provider, plus a stable account identifier. We use these only to create your account, link your installs, and sync your generation history across your devices. With Sign in with Appleyou can use “Hide My Email,” in which case we only ever see Apple's private relay address. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We don't get your provider password, and we don't post anything to your Google or Apple account. Your account data is not sold and not used to train any model. You can sign out any time, and request account deletion as described under Your rights.

Subscriptions & credits

Vibecam offers an optional subscription and one-time credit packs for additional generations. Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and subscription/purchase status is managed for us by RevenueCat, a subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives your purchase/subscription events and an app-generated account identifier (your device id or account id) to attribute the purchase to you — it does not receive your photos or generated results. We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are handled entirely by Apple/Google.

Anti-abuse signal (Android)

On Android, when you redeem your one free generation, we also read the device's OS- level identifier (Android ID) and send it to our backend alongside your app-generated device id. This is used solely to prevent the same physical device from claiming the free generation repeatedly by reinstalling the app. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and is not shared with any third party.

Install attribution & product analytics

When you follow one of our Google Play links, the link may include campaign labels such as the referring page and button placement. On first launch, Android's Google Play Install Referrer API returns those labels to the app. We record only the campaign fields (source, medium, campaign, and placement), not the raw referral URL, and use them to understand which download pages lead to successful app experiences. This does not use the Advertising ID. Apple provides iOS attribution in aggregate through App Store reporting rather than through this Android mechanism.

The website records store-button clicks through Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics. The app records first launch, readiness, selfie source (camera or photo library), experience selection, generation outcome, sharing, paywall, and purchase outcome through Firebase Analytics and Amplitude. These events do not contain your selfie, generated image, or custom prompt.

What we don't collect

We don't collect names, emails, contact lists, precise location, motion sensors, or microphone data unless you choose to sign in and provide them. We don't build advertising profiles of you. Some device data is collected by our ads provider — see below.

Advertising

The app displays optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob (for example, to unlock an extra generation). To serve these ads, AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and basic app usage data. This data is handled under Google's privacy policy.

Tracking across apps and websites

On iOS, the app shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking for advertising purposes. If you decline, ads still appear but are non-personalized. Third-party ad partners may otherwise track activity across apps and websites to serve ads and measure performance.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each processing data under its own privacy policy:

• AI processing: OpenRouter and Google Gemini (styling, aging, anime, and cosmic-style image results, plus celebrity/spirit-animal comparison text), and Ideogram (certain image result types).
• Subscriptions & purchases: RevenueCat, plus Apple App Store / Google Play as the payment processors.
• Advertising: Google AdMob.
• Authentication: Google Firebase Authentication, plus Sign in with Apple.
• Database & account storage: Google Firestore.
• Photo & result storage: Amazon Web Services S3.
• Push notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Product analytics: Amplitude and Firebase Analytics.
• Crash reporting: Firebase Crashlytics.
• Performance monitoring: Firebase Performance.
• Abuse prevention:Firebase App Check, and (Android only) the device's Android ID as described above.

Age signals used for the age requirement above come from Apple and Google's own age-signal APIs on the device and are not sent to any of these providers. These providers process data under their own privacy policies; we don't control their practices.

Our analytics record which screens and features you use, and events like starting or completing a generation, sharing, or a subscription purchase — along with a device identifier, app version, and coarse country. They do not receive your photos.

Data retention

Generated results are kept until you delete them. Deleting a result in the app removes it — and its stored image — from our servers immediately. Deleting your account removes every result tied to it, across all your linked devices, plus your sign-in record and subscription-identity link. Crash logs are retained per Firebase Crashlytics' own retention policy (Google documents this as 90 days). Data held by ad, analytics, and subscription partners is retained per their own policies.

Deleting your account & data

If you signed in, you can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete accountin the app. This removes your account and every stored result tied to it — across all your linked devices — from our servers, and deletes your sign-in record. It cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by email (below). Anonymous (signed-out) data tied to a device id is removed when you delete the relevant results or on request.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data associated with you — including your stored photos and results — by emailing developer@pklabs.in. Include your device id or, if you signed in, your account, so we can find your data. You may also reset your advertising ID at any time in your device settings.

Children's privacy

See Age requirementabove — Vibecam is not available to anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, an anonymized stack trace is sent to our developer console. It does not include any image data.
